This three-day onsite course is geared to equip software developers with fundamental knowledge and practical experience to build a minimum viable product on the Ethereum blockchain. Attendees of this course will get a practical exposure to the decentralized application (Dapp) development process using the new smart contract language Solidity. A hands-on development project walks through the example of a token sale and interfaces for legacy backend applications as well as purely client-side web applications. We will also cover related technologies such as IPFS which complement and extend the Dapp development stack.

Goal:

Deliver a majority of the relevant knowledge, tools and skillsets for decentralized application development to software developers.

Target Audience:

Software developers who would like to build decentralized serverless applications using Ethereum smart contracts and IPFS.

Prerequisites:

Prior experience with application development in JavaScript, Python or other high level languages.

Infrastructure Needed:

Participants are expected to have on-site a laptop with wifi access and the latest version of Google Chrome browser.
